Troop 47 CPR training
We will have a guest at the 20-Feb Troop meeting to teach CPR. All Scouts and leaders are strongly encouraged to be at the meeting and take full advantage of the training. There is no cost to Scouts/leaders for the training but there may be a small fee to receive a certification card (from American Red Cross I think).
PHILMONT CREW: I would love to have every member of the crew CPR trained. Please make every effort to be there on the 20th to get trained and to provide leadership to make sure the training runs smoothly.

Service Project
On Sunday, January 15th the Troop will be helping to clean up at the Vinton Lions / VPRD wrestling tournament. Please be in uniform and arrive at the Vinton-Shellsburg High School gym at 3pm. We should be done by 4:30-5:00.
The Lions Club provides significant support to the Troop throughout the year - we could not continue to operate without their support. Lets have a good turn out show our thanks for their support.

Popcorn is Popp'n
Our
awesome popcorn team asked me to remind everyone that we are just about
to the end of the sale. There is still time to sell any popcorn you
have on-hand, and you can still take orders at those family gatherings
this weekend.
They
also tell me that we are very close to beating last years sales. We
need everyone to help push us over the top and have our best sale ever!
Remember - popcorn sales are what pay for all of the Troop camping
gear, help reduce the cost of "big" campouts and pay for things like
pizza parties.
